I believe that direct contact with the patient, not machine therapy, is very important. It builds more trust. This feeling of direct contact with the therapist is the specificity of our center.
Dr. Yevhen Volchenko, co-founder of the Aurum Center,
Head of the Rehabilitation Department, Doctor of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine
Aurum Medical Rehabilitation Center offers a unique blend of holistic therapies for the medical and psychological rehabilitation of civilian and especially military patients traumatized by the war in Ukraine. Dr. Snizhana Shcherbakova, an anthroposophic medical doctor specializing in body-oriented therapies, was one of the first Ukrainian doctors to receive donations of flower essences from FES. She introduced them to Dr. Yevhan Volchenko, the center’s rehabilitation director, who has integrated flower essence formulas and bath oils into their therapeutic programs. These programs include acupuncture, therapeutic massage, kinesiotherapy, osteopathy / craniosacral therapy, oil dispersion baths, therapeutic gymnastics, art therapy, psychological counseling / psychotherapy, homeopathy and anthroposophic medicines.
Dr. Volchenko reported,
“Flora-Sleep helps with difficulties falling asleep and shallow sleep. This is against the backdrop of our body-oriented therapies. Given the severity of the disorders (some patients did not fully sleep for two to three years while on the front) the effect is very good. I often use Post-Trauma Stabilizer in complex formulas, and it has a positive effect on emotions.”
FES also donated the FloraFusions, which are bath oils, blends of flower essences, essential oils, and herbal infused oils. Dr. Snizhana Shcherbakova received FloraFusions donations of Arnica Allay, Benediction, Calendula Caress, Dandelion Dynamo, and St. John’s Shield to use in the therapeutic baths at the Aurum Center.
Dr. Shcherbakova reported,
“The oils are very different from all others. They have a lot of warmth; the texture is very light. They absorb well,
They are easy to work with. Patients also note that these oils are different, saying that they create a shell in which it is soft and warm, and after the procedure it is easier for them to relax. Now everyone goes is able to sleep.”
Dr. Volchenko also commented on his use of oils,
“I regularly use Arnica Allay oil in my manual therapy, It has a very good quality when applied to the body. It maintains the thermal effect well .”
Dr. Shcherbakova shares the gratitude of their military patients for the donations of support
I think that our military cannot be compared with the military of other countries because those who are in our rehabilitation, they do not have military training. They are ordinary people: students, teachers, musicians. These people are not military at heart.
Our military patients suffer the soul pain of losing their friends, the pain of having to fight. And as a result, they have sleep disturbance, various spasms, circulatory disorders, physical pain from injuries and multiple operations.
The methods we use include rhythmic massage, oil dispersion baths, osteopathy, conversations with a psychologist, and anthroposophical remedies as well as using your flower essences.
And no matter what treatment they receive (perhaps some do not believe in the power of essences), or what they think about those essences and remedies, when they think of the people from other countries who actively care, who send this help, they do accept with tears in their eyes and words of gratitude. It means a lot to them.
So all things that they receive and experience in our center make a big difference in the healing process of these young people from the deep trauma they undergo every day.
My daughter had strong fears after the bombings. After taking Kinder Garden and Post-Trauma Stabilizer for about a month, she became calmer, without visible fear.

The Aurum Medical Rehabilitation Center started in November 2022 as an outpatient clinic with four rooms. In February 2025 the clinic moved to new premises in the forested park area of Kyiv, where they are developing a holistic hospital with thirty to thirty-five beds. To facilitate financial contributions to Aurum, the Flower Essence Society can receive your tax-deductible (USA) contributions on our website via credit card, and then we will bundle the contributions and send a bank transfer directly to Aurum. This avoids requiring individual contributors to arrange costly bank transfers.
